a hearty poison gravy no rat can resist

I was flipping through this list of the 50 funniest commercial parodies (lists on the internets?) and came across this SNL stalwart of fauxvertizing which I remember causing me to almost shoot beer out of my nose. And it turns out that history does repeat itself, except this time with coffee. I guess that's what they mean by saying, "history doesn't repeat itself, but it does rhyme," although in this case "coffee" does not rhyme with "beer", so obviously that statement is crap.
